1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I don't like mohair.  Mohair and Angora.  I love wool (yea!) and silk, wool-silk blends, and linen.
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I have two needlecases: one for circs and one for dpns.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I don't know how long I have been knitting. I consider myself to be advanced-intermediate.
4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Amazon and I are mad at each other right now.
5. What's your favorite scent?
Vanilla and Ginger.
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Yes. Chocolate, Ginger candies, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans.
7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I do spin.  I also sew, needle felt, and make jewelry.
8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I can have MP3s on my stereo: I listen to lots of Jazz & the Blues.  Stevie Ray Vaugh is a particular favorite.
9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
Blue. Blue-green. Green.  Green-blue.  Varigated yarns with green or blue in them.  I don't particulary like the Red-orange-yellow family of colors. I can't stand hot pink.
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I am the single mom of one papillon puppy, Jack.  There is no question who the head of my household is, and it is not me.  Now, if the IRS would just allow him to deduct me on his tax return...
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
Yes, Yes, No, and not until next winter. (I live in Florida)
12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Sweaters.
13. What are you knitting right now?
Two sweaters, a sock, a felted bag, a shawl...
14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Yes!
15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
All bamboo, all the time; all circulars, all the time.
16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
Yes to both.
17. How old is your oldest UFO?
Less than one year.
18. What is your favorite holiday?
Halloween!
19. Is there anything that you collect?
Nothing, unless you count yarn!
20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
I have interweave, Rowan and Vogue Knitting.  No books or patterns that I want right now.
21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
Nope.
22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Sort of.  Not normaly a sock knitter, but having fallen in love with Jitterbug, and learned the magic loop techniqe... I have finished one sock people.  Oh. I don't like Opal or Treking.
23. When is your birthday? Spetember 5.

After the end, before the begining

I am in the midst of a tranition here.  I am in the process of ending one job, and truing to find another.  I have eight months untill I am without an income, and I am starting to get a little wigged out by it.  I know that I will find the right job, but the process of getting there is pretty agonizing.  My mind has not much been on blogging or knitting. Hopefully I will snap out of it a bit, and this transition period will be short.  More on this later!

In progress...

These three skeins of yarn are from Fleece Artist rovings that I got from Kathe.  The one on the far left is a Merino roving, and the other two are Blue Face Leicester.  The colors are beautiful, and the rovings spun up very quickly.  For hand painted, they are a pretty good value: $6.95 for the Merino and $ 8.95 for the BFL.

I am currently working on a Calorimetry in the yarn furthest to the right.  In fact, I finished it, but it ended up being too big, so I am re-working it. I hope to have at least one project finished for finishing February!  luckily, I have two weeks to get in gear and get something done. 

Of course, the majority of my knitting time has been taken up by job hunting, and a resume "dump." I sent out about 200+ resumes this morning.  I have about 500 more to go.  - All this, and I need just ONE job.
